8:17am- finally made it to morning prayer out of this whole week. “no”, “yes”, “wow”. it was definitely ‘wow’!
i am really going to miss the prayer meetings at CFC, and its not like i went to a whole bunch- but being at mp this morning was an overflow of blessings as God reminded me of his faithfulness through this whole year, starting with servants retreat at the beginning of the semester; i was really really sick through it but i remembered asking God to help me persevere: “if i can’t fight through it now, how am i going to fight through the hard times during the year?”. i was reminded of the long hours on saturday morning fighting in prayer with the serving body at servants meeting- ‘its like a weekly revival’, as lester put it. i was reminded of the wednesday prayer meetings with my smallgroup leaders praying for smallgroup. and most of all, i was reminded of the prayer times with mustard seeds.
it was an awesome way to wrap things up here at the UofI - i’ll continue to keep you guys updated; for those who haven’t been tagged (they have a limit), i started making facebook videos regarding my transition to beijing- check em out! =)
